Method
1. Ethics and transparency
Belgium's image in terms of major infrastructure projects is currently negative overall. The NEO project developers are committed to conveying a strong message and scrupulously respecting:
- An ethics charter.
- An objective approach to procedures, strict application of the rules for public contracts, the establishment of competitions (planning, architects, etc.) to contribute to ensuring healthy competition.
- Permanent dialogue with the local residents.
- Ongoing updating of the information on the website.
- The unique nature of Brussels in parallel with the international dimension of the site.
2 . Economic model
- Minimising use of public funds.
- Maximising public interest: increasing the value of public property to obtain a positive return for the local authority and enterprises.
- Collaboration with the private sector: remuneration commensurate with levels of skill.
3 . Model of sustainable development
- Systematic use of solutions to ensure sustainable development.
- Mobility around and within the site systematically integrated in the project plan ('macro' study in progress).
- Road layouts including natural elements such as water and trees.
4 . Quest for efficiency
- Trust of all partners.
- The work will be carried out as quickly as possible, while maintaining permanent dialogue with all parties.
